"Malware has become highly targeted, evasive and weaponized, and has certainly emerged as one of the greatest threats that companies of all sizes now face," said Stoner. "Lastline has a proven track record of detecting and containing the evasive malware that other solutions miss with their Deep Inspection capabilities. Security and IT experts acknowledge the success of Lastline's strategic approach, which links key signals occurring at various points in the attack chain, and which makes them the industry's top network-based defense. I'm honored and excited to help broaden and deepen Lastline's industry footprint."

Stoner joins Lastline from FireEye, where he was Senior Director of Global Consulting Alliances. He has also held strategic alliance leadership positions with CA Technologies and NTT America.

Stoner holds an MBA with specializations in Finance and International Business with distinction from the Keller Graduate School of Management, and a Bachelor of Science degree in Marketing from Southern Illinois University.

"Brian joins at a pivotal time both for Lastline and for the enterprise IT community, which has been forcibly awakened to new security threats over the last five years," said Brian Laing, Vice President of Products and Business Development for Lastline. "We and our partners look forward to leveraging his vision and expertise in establishing partnerships and expanding adoptions for the industry's leading security solutions."
